Oliver & Bonacini have opened the latest restaurant in its expansive empire. Beaumont Kitchen is located inside the newly opened Saks Fifth Avenue in Sherway Gardens.
Beaumont Kitchen has the typical O&B feel to it, and that's not a bad thing.
The space seats a total of 135 guests, and has the industrial lighting that has become synonymous with O&B ventures, think back to America and Oliver & Bonacini Cafe Grill, Yonge & Front. The open concept kitchen compliments the spacious dining room, lounge and bar area. The mixture of wood and metal with floral elements around the restaurant is reminiscent of a modern garden party.
The menu was created by Michael Hay of Canteen and Chef de Cuisine Paul Senecal, previously of Biff's Bistro. Filled with fresh ingredients, and alternative lean proteins, there is a definite West Coast vibe to the menu. The eclectic West Coast cuisine includes the increasingly popular Thai Root Vegetable Salad with house-made cashew butter, an aesthetically pleasing dish that packs a punch with lime and chili dressing.
The location is open for lunch and dinner service weekdays and brunch on weekends. The lunch menu is a reflection of the location, with sophisticated, yet accessible options. The thin crust pizza menu includes a Porchetta pizza, with house-aged porchetta, pineapple, fior di latte, green chili and cheddar. For lunch, there is also a sandwich menu. All of the bread is made in-house including the endless buttery focaccia bun found on the Roasted Chicken sandwich with herb mayonnaise, green tomato relish, aged cheddar and bacon.
Beaumont Kitchen's mains include a Flat Iron Steak with roasted potatoes, kale, and quinoa, Turkey Meatballs with a parmesan broth, Israeli couscous and collard greens, linguine with prawns, scallops, white wines and basil pesto.
Complimenting the eclectic menu is the diverse cocktail menu. Featuring signature cocktails, like the Malibu Fresca, made by Cristian Ocampo, a citrus drink made with Malibu rum, peach schnapps, banana liqueur, pineapple, and cranberry juice. There is a small selection of mocktails, including the Beaumont Refresher made with the juice of the day and sparkling water.
